|
With the UK region of the ESWC 2008 finals approaching in June ctx have entered into the online qualifications for the event. Unfortunately the turnout for this event was not very high which means there was an automatic qualification for the finals in Birmingham.
m0rf will be attending these finals and will be looking to continue on to the ESWC Finals in Paris, France. ctx.cs who have taken a short break till the new SGL season starts will not be in attendance for this event.
With m0rf being the only member of ctx in attendance we are hoping he can do us proud and make it to the Finals.

Few weeks ago, after Shade and fsk, who were both our core players since november 2007, stopped playing Call of Duty 4, we went through a temporary time of crisis but soon we managed to find great replacements to them:
daze, who is also an familiar skilled ET&RTCW Player, and Kreft who is an experienced FPS gaming from Quake 3 and other games - both great additions to the team.
After recruting them, we got nearly instantly back on track, the team has become stable and active again and performing is really good since then.

Right now we are participating in the Clanbase Spring Opencup 2008. We are positioned in Division 1, Fifth League, Group F, with the following teams:
5th
replay
te4m
xTs

This season, both EC and OC seem to be a mess-up by the clanbase though. Some teams, fnatic for example, is boycotting to play the Eurocup after seeing the prizes. And the opencup, also a complete mess-up. It seems like there was no quality control for the admins, as they have seemed to put the teams into groups quite randomly. Having teams that are ranked higher than some of the Eurocup & premier league teams even below our league, and teams that even we've beaten excessivly in the premier and second is just hillarious.
Even though we arent in premier, our group as it seems has a few quite challanging opponents and seems to be probobly the hardest our league. So far the results are as followed:
.vs aenergy 13-0 Win
.vs TOP Gaming 13-5 Win
The next 2 matches should be good games as they're probobly 2 most challanging opponents from the groupstage:
.vs replay Esports, who are currently rank 41 on the S&D 5v5 ladder.
.vs Te4m Esports
After this season is over, we will probobly put more attention to other leagues, like ESL, SGL or so on, as an alternative to clanbase if this situation continues.

Unfortunately with 2 poor results we left the competition, on the up side it was our first event with this team and it has shown us the areas we need to improve which we will look to do for WCG quals in 2 months time.
WP to both Immolate and Acuity.
